You already know my theory about bands with repeating names, like Duran Duran, they help you remember their name.
THE TING TINGS

I actually really love The Ting Tings. For those that aren't familiar with them, they are a duo, a boy (drummer) and girl (singer/bassist). They had a big hit song with "That's Not My Name" and even "Hands" did pretty well. Their new single, "Hang it Up" is coming out February 2012 - although for some reason I've seen the 'skateboardy' music video in 2011.
In any case, their second album, Sounds From Nowheresville, will be out in the USA in March 2012... which is about the same time that they're touring here! Don't know about you, but my brother and I will try and catch them in Minneapolis.
VICIOUS VICIOUS

Vicious Vicious (Erik Appelwick) is actually from another repeating-band name, Tapes N' Tapes (obviously they know/understand the art of memorable band naming)... although I will confess that it's impossible to do an Amazon search for "Vicious Vicious" without using absolute exact phrases.
Anyway, Vicious Vicious' self-titled album came out yesterday, January 10th, you can sneak peak "I Know U Know I Know" on Soundcloud. If you live around Minneapolis, like we do, you can pick up the album at Electric Festus. All else, check out Amazon and iTunes.
XIU XIU

You remember Xiu Xiu. Their new album, Always, comes out March 6th, 2012 via Polyvinyl Records.
As usual, with Polyvinyl, they are offering a variety of format, including 180gm vinyl and a strictly limited 500 copies of "translucent pink 180 gram vinyl". I told you to watch out for their brilliant colored vinyls collection. Once they're sold out, they're sold out, so if you're a massive fan, you need to do yourself a favor and pre-order these.
Xiu Xiu will tour in support of Always, so keep your eyes peeled.
