August 30th - Proms 2015 (Royal Albert Hall)
Prom 59 will be the LIFE STORY Prom, featuring Murray’s music to the BBC One series from Sir David Attenborough. The soundtrack will take center-stage with this performance by the BBC Concert Orchestra. Sir David introduces sequences from the series played on big screens and is joined by members of the production team, who offer insights into the making of this stunning natural history series

In 2012 Gold was commissioned by the balletLORENT to write the music for their magical retelling of Rapunzel, which was performed at Sadler’s Wells Theatre and named “Performance of the Year” at The Journal Culture Awards. He has been commissioned a second time for a new performance of Snow White, in collaboration with featuring the choreographer Liv Lorent the UK’s Poet Laureate Carol Ann Duffy.
October 7th - Doctor Who Symphonic Spectacular (NY Comic Con)
For the first time in the US, the Doctor will land at his adopted home city of New York, with performances at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY during New York Comic Con. The night showcases the music of Gold, who has been the composer for the series since its re-launch in 2005, and will feature well over 100 musicians, singers, and monsters live on stage. Michelle Gomez (Missy, the latest incarnation of the Doctor’s arch-nemesis the Master) will host the performance.

Daptone Records will be releasing Daptone Gold II on September 18th, 2015... the perfect collection featuring hits and exclusive tracks from all the soul revival bands you have come to know and love from Daptone, including Sharon Jones & The Dap-Kings, Charles Bradley, Antibalas, Budos Band, and much more.
Like its predecessor Daptone Gold six years ago, Daptone Gold II will also use that same formula of putting spotlights on songs and artists from the last six years. Some tracks will be taken from hard to find 45s such as "Luv Jones," a duet by Charles Bradley and LaRose Jackson, "Little Boys With Shiny Toys" by Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, and "Out Of The Wilderness" by The Como Mamas.
Previously unreleased songs include the instrumental "Thunderclap" by The Dap-Kings and "You Got To Move" performed by Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens.
The Daptone Gold II double LP is packaged in a silver foil gatefold sleeve and comes with a poster, liner notes and iron-on, and the CD is in a deluxe embossed silver foil digipak.
