The Darkness Setlist
|
This is just a quick post to get some basic information, tour dates, photos, and setlists online, as soon as possible.

The self-described "fluffer" band sounded a little metal and a little delta blues, as evident in their "Robert Johnson" song. If you know anything about Johnson, it's urban legend that he made a deal with the devil at the crossroad.
They did a good job "waking up" the crowd with songs like "Ride", "Girlfriend", and set closer "Lake of Fire".
Justin Hawkins

Singer Justin Hawkins looked healthy and happy to back on stage... and very pleased to hear that so many fans were singing along to their new songs.
Just quickly, the baby shown on the cover of Last of Our Kind is from Minnesota. Apparently the baby's father, John Bean, took a picture of his daughter Danielle with the Darkness shades and posted it on a Darkness fansite. The band loved it and decided to use for the cover, but re-envisioned by artist Nick Roche. You can read all about it at the Current. The family, of course, was at last night's show.
The Darkness' fourth album Last of Our Kind is out now on +180 Records.
More details later.
