San Cisco, Scarlett, Nick, Jordi and Josh are a from Fremantle, Western Australia. On the weekends they go skateboarding, play Nintendo 64 and make a bit of indie pop on the side.
Golden Revolver is their first EP, an eclectic mix of indie pop with folk undertones, slashes of synth and influences ranging from Bright Eyes to Vampire Weekend. A lovely little release, perfect accompaniment to these bright autumn days, a soundtrack to cardie weather, you might say.
Keep your eye out for these guys, they’re on heir way to large things, for sure.

Straight Arrows - It’s Happening
Straight Arrows formed almost 3 years ago. Initially finding frustration and trouble with regular venue operation, Straight Arrows began a 4 month residency in a small space above gay bar The Newtown Hotel (since closed and re-opened as the interestingly decorated “Freaky Tiki”) , building a following that culminated in a sold out show for the release of their debut 7” record.
Sounding like it’s been recorded in a very large bathroom, It’s Happening, has grown on me. At first i thought it was too dirty sounding and disorganised, but soon realised that i was singing the songs to myself, whilst going about my daily business. Damn you, catchy riffs!

So! Wednesday April 13th is the day that we get to find out the official line-up for this years' Splendour In The Grass. To be held at Woodfordia, near Woodford, south-east Queensland over three big days from Friday 29th to Sunday 31st July.
So tune in to Triple J radio between 6am and 9am to find out. Someone mentioned the possibility of Pulp? Well... we'll see.
