I was going to spotlight The Mountain Goats, but Merge Records doesn't need the spotlight. Instead, we've previously written about Shook Twins at Bryant Lake Bowl on 04/19.

Also, Boston's Pile is back in Minneapolis, this time over at the Hexagon Bar (a misnomer, it's actually a rectangle-shaped bar). Pile is touring in support of their new album You're Better Than This, out now via Exploding In Sound Records.

Last year Cleveland's SomeKindaWonderful went on tour as support act to New Politics. SKW is back now as headliner at the 7th Street Entry on Monday, April 20th... Because what else are you going to do on 04/20?

SomeKindaWonderful's eponymous self-titled debut album came out on June 23rd via Downtown Records/White Clover Records.

Opening up the 7th Street Entry show will be Tired Tongues, an electroclash band from Minneapolis.

It's that time of the month again! That's right, the Communion Club Night is taking place on Tuesday, April 21st. This month will feature Canadian band Hey Rosetta!, they previously opened up for Stars last November 2014.

Hey Rosetta! is on tour in support of Second Sight, their fourth studio, via Sonic Records.

When I first saw this band in 2012, I noted that they had some serious fans (some of them drove as far as from Canada) to see the band at a smaller venue.

Also on the bill are Kevin Garrett and Going to the Sun.
