KING CRIMSON
at State Theatre
Monday 06/26/17 (6:30pm/$39.50)
hennepintheatretrust.org
London’s progressive rock band King Crimson is making a rare Minneapolis appearance at the State Theatre this Monday, June 26th. This may actually be the band’s first MN appearance in over 10 years, if you don’t count Stick Men (bassist Tony Levin’s project).
King Crimson’s “Radical Action Tour 2017” will feature some new and old faces in the band - starting with three drummers: Pat Mastelotto, Gavin Harrison and Jeremy Stacey, the return of multi-instrumentalist Bill Reiflin (keyboards, guitarist) and original founding member, Robert Fripp. Rounding out the eight piece line up are guitarist and vocalist Jakko Jakszyk, bassist Tony Levin, and saxophonist Mel Collins (an early member of King Crimson).
The venue does not appear to list an opening band... which could mean that the band might play an extended set. That won’t be a problem because the band’s been around since 1969 and produced over 13 albums!
NOTE: This show is a “Phone Free Event.” Absolutely no photography, recording, or filming is to be made.
