As you know, we’re big fans of 90s Riot Grrrl music, so we were very excited to see that the legendary group that started it all, Bikini Kill will be reuniting to play a few shows for 2019. It’s been over 20 years, it’s probably about time.
Bikini Kill is the most influential band when it comes to grrrl punk music.
The reunited BK will feature the iconic lineup of the Rebel Girl herself, Kathleen Hanna on vocals, with Tobi Vail on drums, and Kathi Wilcox on bass. For these upcoming live shows, Erica Dawn Lyle will be playing guitars.
Assuming these California and New York dates are successful, expect the band to return to Olympia or Washington... but we’ll see.
Bikini Kill Reunite:
May 31: Brooklyn, NY @ Brooklyn Steel
June 1: New York, NY @ Terminal 5

Currently, the band is getting a lot of attention in the UK, touring in support of their new upcoming album Itekoma Hits (Damnably Records). The record comes out April 26, 2019.
