The Tedeschi Trucks Band (husband-and-wife musicians Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi) won the 2012 Grammy Award for Best Blues Album for their debut Revelator.

The band is currently touring with Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings, a retro soul/funk band that we have long supported and love.

Also on the bill is Rich Robinson Band (of The Black Crowes).

The "Gay Bar" band Electric Six is back in Minneapolis next Friday, June 19th at First Avenue, touring in support of their latest album Mimicry and Memories.

Electric Six is Dick Valentine (vocals), Da Ve (guitar), Johnny Na$hinal (guitar), Smorgasbord (bass), Tait Nucleus? (synths) and Percussion World (drums).

White Reaper will open the show. The band is on tour in support of their forthcoming Polyvinyl album Does It Again, set for release this July 17, 2015.

San Diego's Little Hurricane will be at the Turf Club in St Paul on June 19th. We previously wrote that the duo (CC & Tone) met on Craigslist and since then have teamed up as Little Hurricane.

The duo's latest single is "Heart Skips a Beat", which came out May 2015.

Mississippi-based rock act Young Buffalo to open the show.

Black Crowes' Rich Robinson is doing a tiny solo acoustic tour, taking place this December - and the first stop will be at the Dakota Jazz Club in Minneapolis on December 7th.

We already previously mentioned his latest solo album The Ceaseless Sight, but Robinson was also recently featured as the subject of a live album Woodstock Sessions, Vol. 3, which came out Tuesday, November 18th. If you weren't lucky enough to get one of 200 tickets for this 2-night event, you can experience it with Woodstock Sessions, Vol. 3.

Also running during the acoustic tour, the Movement Gallery of Art (in Atlanta, Georgia) will be exhibiting Rich's abstract paintings. Gallerist Michael Bartolacci and Curator Denise Jackson are pleased to showcase Rich's art opening on Saturday, December 6th and running through January 10th. Rich will join guests for an opening night reception on December 6th.

Talking to Paste Magazine, Robinson stated, "I love to use oils because they take a while to dry. While I'm painting, it changes as the paint combines, which then influences the content of what I’m painting... With painting, it’s the color and textures that influence me. I layer on the paint and as the textures develop, the painting takes shape. The general relationship is different because of the number of senses used...."

The annual KDWB Jingle Ball show is taking place over at the Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

The cheapest and so-called "The Worst Seats in the House" for KDWB JingleBall is "only $20", but fans have been posting photos that actual cost is closer to $40. You know this tells me that fees and extra charges are simply out of control.

DJ/Producer Porter Robinson will be touring in support of his debut album Worlds, coming out this week, August 12th, on Astralwerks.

For this tour, speaking to Stereogum, Robinson revealed that his live show will be quite impressive: a 32-foot screens, 96 lighting fixtures, 480 streamer tubes, 1,600 pounds of confetti, and 15 50-pound tanks of CO2, designed in collaboration with music technologist and artist Laura Escudé aka Alluxe (Kanye, Jay Z, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Drake) and controlled by Robinson with Ableton Live and interactive MIDI controllers.

Rich Robinson's brother Chris Robinson is the lead singer of The Black Crowes. When the band went "on indefinite hiatus", Robinson formed The Chris Robinson Brotherhood.

Recently, Way Over Yonder Music Festival (taking place September 26-27 at Santa Monica Pier) announced The Chris Robinson Brother has one of the headliners, among other famous acts, such as Jackson Browne and Lucinda Williams.

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood latest release is called Phosphorescent Harvest and is available now on Silver Arrow Records.
