Read More Lucy Rose is no stranger to the USA, having toured with Bombay Bicycle Club and briefly showing up in New York in January... so it's no surprise that she's just announced her North American…

Before Great Escape Music Festival, Jess and I took a long trek to Cambridge to check two emerging artists: Peter & Kerry and the Lucy Rose.
Peter and Kerry put on a brilliant acoustic set with crisp clear vocals. The audience was very polite and quiet throughout their entire set (unlike most shows in the States). Either one of these performers could start a solo career. Kerry Leathman has a very soothing voice similar to the xx’s singer Romy Croft.
The star of the night was Lucy Rose, who came out with a big smile as usual. For those of you who don't know Lucy, she toured with Bombay Bicycle Club and is featured on most of the tracks on their last album, A Different Kind of Fix.
She played all the favorites, "Middle of the Bed", "Night Bus", "Be Alright", etc. One of her songs started off with a Libertines' "Can't Stand Me Now" beat, but it was just one of her newer tracks. Finishing with a three-song encore, Rose pleased everyone.
After listening to her for a few years now I really like that she's mixing more electronic, synth beats to her songs. It made for a more energetic live set. Keep up the good work Lucy and company.
Rose just announced her U.S. tour last week, full tour schedule below. Dates with (*) indicates with City and Colours:
