The Easy Rider, himself, Peter Fonda has died at the age of 79. Fonda is from a family of famous actors, as the
son of Henry Fonda (whose The Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles is named after), brother of Jane Fonda, and father of actress/singer Bridget Fonda.
While most people might know Peter Fonda as an actor, he did dabble in being a singer after a recording of a 7” in 1966 called “November Night”, backed with “Catch the Wind” (a Donovan cover).
Fonda also starred in the film Outlaw Blues, which is about a musician, and as a result required him to sing with co-star Susan Saint James for the film. The two songs from this film “Outlaw Blues” and “I Dream of Highways” appear as a 7” from Capitol Records.
Also, notably, The Primal Scream sampled Peter Fonda from The Wild Angels 1966 film as the intro to their song, “Loaded” (which the film The World's End used to good effect at the film’s start).
