Scottish rock band We Were Promised Jetpacks will be touring in support of the 10th Anniversary of their debut record These Four Walls.

10 years is about right, we first saw the band at SXSW 2009, when they were practically unknown musicians - opening up for Primal Scream and Camera Obscura.

At the time, the average age of the band was 21, and I remember how excited they were to be in America for the first time.

With this upcoming tour, the band promised they’ll be playing most of the debut album live (with only minimal overdubs).

If you never saw them in 2009, this upcoming show is not to be missed.

Snail Mail (aka Baltimore-based Lindsey Jordan) will be headlining First Avenue’s mainroom this Monday, July 15th. This will be quite the upgrade, considering that she sold out her 7th Street Entry in June 2018 or Oct 2016 or Triple Rock in July 2017. It’ll be fun to see how she reacts to playing a room that is nearly 8 times the size of the Entry or Triple Rock (RIP).

Snail Mail’s debut album Lush came out last summer on Matador Records… who also re-issued her debut EP Habit.
