Who's playing at Sydney Festival 2012? See their official website (sydneyfestival.org.au) for more details.
We preview some of the bands:
PJ Harvey (sold out her Sydney show!)
Nouvelle Vague (French cover band)
The Whitest Boy Alive* [see comment below] (never heard of them, but they sold out their show!)
AA Bondy (super depressing)
Sons and Daughters (not related)
Meow Meow (cabaret fun show)
Tune-Yards (huge buzz from last year, pots & pans music)
J Mascis (white-haired warlock)
The Sydney Orchestra playing music to the newly-remastered West Side Story film.
Plus: Hall & Oates is currently on tour. They're coming to Sydney in 2012 and Sally will be there to see them. Icehouse to open!
Song of the show is Hall & Oates' "Out of Touch".
Bonus: Roxette is touring. The Stone Roses reunited and touring and releasing a brand new album for 2012. The Good Nature is Vu's favorite young band at the moment.

I'm guessing that "The Whitest Boy" is actually "The Whitest Boy Alive," which is Erlend Oye's (Kings of Convenience) other band. The first record is damn good, second one is good (but not as good as the first!), and certainly worth going to.
