Night 7 of 10 of Super Bowl Live, the downtown series of free outdoor Super Bowl LII- related concerts were against the coldest temperatures of the series thus far, with the previous night's snow and cold affecting stage equipment enough that the acts started over an hour behind schedule. 

Melbourne, Australia's Jakubi was up first, never experiencing this degree of cold, though were properly layered in coats and scarves for their abridged three-song set. The quartet has been in the studio with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis and kept warm by moving about and inciting the crowd. 

Minneapolis band fDeluxe (aka The Family) probably had an easier time the previous night, playing two shows inside at the Dakota Jazz Club, but bravely returned downtown for a shortened set of mostly Prince-penned favorites. It was cold enough that sax player Eric Leeds couldn't get his instrument to properly work, so he sat out at the last minute, as the band soldiered on without him.

Another Prince-offshoot, New Power Soul that concentrates on more of the latter year's jazz-flavored works, would be up next, with female vocals, a premier horn section, and many tracks from its newest, the just-released Revelation.  

Prince's childhood friend Andre Cymone would be up next, with hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd closing things out for the evening.
