Their 30-min set was similar (if not exactly the same) to their set for Eliot Sumner last June 2016, including unreleased songs like the set closer song ‘Tape Organ’.
Of the three times we’ve seen the band, their last show was their best sounding show... and definitely their finest moment, despite only getting a 30 second soundcheck and without band practice for weeks.

With their new album By Default (BMG), they’ve doubled down on that stadium rock sound, but also producing some of the catchiest music hooks and rhythm and some dance elements.
In fact, with the dance thing, the first thing that singer Russell Marsden said was, “So the plan is: we’re going to dance.”
Each song they played from By Default sounded thunderous and energetic, although fans seemed to respond better to their old classic hits, especially for ‘Blood’, and later during the encore for ‘I Know What I Am’.
Also, fans loved singing along to ‘You're Not Pretty But You Got it Going On’, taken from their 2012 record Sweet Sour.
Although fans begged to hear the old songs, personally speaking, Band of Skulls’ new songs are some of their boldest and best songs they’ve ever written.
