Riot grrrls/girl grunge band L7 (that’s square to the unhip) is returning to the area, this time at the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis. The girls have recorded and released their first new album in 20 years on Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records. Expect to hear those new songs, as well as old favorites like “Pretend We’re Dead” on this upcoming show.

Unfortunately, the Vera Sola show on Monday, May 20th, is cancelled. The reason? Apparently, Vera Sola was asked to be the support act for Bear’s Den and it’s an opportunity that she couldn’t resist.

Don’t worry, Vera Sola and Bear’s Den will be in Minneapolis on May 29th at First Avenue (a much bigger venue than 7th Street Entry).
