One Finger Riot's debut album, Come Drag Me Down, came out last month via Post Planetary Records. Faris McReynolds is the one-man-band behind One Finger Riot. This project is described as minimalist avant-garde pop, which is quite different from his other work under the name ExDetectives (Britpop and indie rock).

The album's first single "Work/Drink/Sleep" can be heard on Soundcloud.com.

His next single will be "Fever", which McReynolds described as "… is about going back and forth between apathy and obsession. It’s meant to be mellow, hypnotic and allude to inebriation."

March 31st @ The Roxbury Room in Glebe with Ashes (EP Launch) Also on the bill are The Last Cavalry and Sweet Edge. As for recording, they're heading into Defwolf Studios in late April for "some serious hammertime with the amazing Dave Hammer".

MARK STEWART markstewartmusic.com The Pop Group broke up in 1981, but they resurfaced in 2010. Since then, it looks like singer Mark Stewart has returned with a limited 7" of "Children of the Revolution", followed by his new album The Politics of Envy. The album came out this week via Future Noise Music, and features a ton of contributions/collaborations including Clash's guitarist Keith Levene, Gina Birch of the Raincoats, Slits bassist Tessa Pollitt, Jesus And Mary Chain bassist Douglas Hart, Daddy G of Massive Attack and all of Primal Scream!

STEREOHEROES stereoheroes.com This is a DJ duo from France (Fabrice and Sébastien). They've just uploaded their new remix of an Atari Teenage Riot song, "Collapse of History", available on soundcloud.com.

YELLOW MONSTERS (옐로우 몬스터즈 ) yellowmonsters.net Canadian Music Fest recently booked Yellow Monsters. This is a Korean trio with a recent album Riot!. The band is described as "maniac punk". Unfortunately, that's all I know because all the information on their website is mostly in Korean. I think they're on tour in North America.
