Look, we like Meiko, okay? She has a new yet-untitled album coming out next month via PledgeMusic, and it looks like she's heading out on tour in support of said-album.

I have seen Meiko a few times, once at SXSW 2009 and semi-recently at 7th Street Entry in 2012.

For this upcoming Fall/Winter 2014 tour, she will feature the same opener, Buddy, from the last tour. Buddy has a new album called Last Call For The Quiet Life, which came out August 19 via Stove Punchin' Records.

Also, please note that the show will take place at the Loring Pasta Bar (right next to the Varsity) and the show starts late (9pm) and is 18+ only. If I know anything about Meiko, it is that she used to waitress, and she'll definitely be reminding you that you need to tip your waiters/waitress at least 20%.

Please note that Clyde Iron Works is located in Duluth, Minnesota. I've never been there before, but I would think this is a smaller than the usual venue that superstar rapper Atmosphere and his usual Rhymesayers crew will ever play at.... so for hardcore fans, you might want to take that hour+ drive up north to catch this show (especially because the November show at First Avenue is sold out).

Since we last mentioned CocoRosie, the sister act (Sierra and Bianca Casady) has released their new album Tales Of A GrassWidow and announced a North American fall tour dates, starting in October.

The album, as described by the Guardian, indicate that it's both medieval and "Timbaland-esque beat".

Check out their video for "Child Bride" via YouTube, their single from Tales Of A Grass Widow. The video was directed by Emma Freeman and tells a story of feminism, sexism, child abuse, human rights and gender inequalities through the brutal circumstances that often result from an arranged marriage.

On a similar vein, a new feminist magazine called Girls Against God (GAG) just arrived via Bianca Casady and artist Anne Sherwood Pundyk. The tabloid-sized publication includes contributions from: Antony, Gabby Bess, Melanie Bonajo, Vaginal Davis, Yasmine Hadan, Emely Neu, Kembra Pfahler, Marguerite Stern, Alexyss K. Tylor; and contributions from Johanna Constantine, Mary Hanlon, Julie Higonnet, Molly O’Brien, Chloe Olewitz, Alice O’Malley, Kara L. Rooney, and J.M. Ruellan. We caught Caitlin Rose live in Minneapolis earlier this year, she was playing a ton of new songs from her latest album The Stand-In. She's still currently on tour in support of the new album, so check the tour information below.

Recently, Rose unveiled her cover of The National's single, "Pink Rabbits." In regards to why she choose to cover the song, she confessed to ELLE magazine, "this song creeped up on me in the same way the band did. It was something I'd heard and enjoyed on several occasions. To sort of know something is great before it resonates with you, then all of a sudden it's under your skin, like nothing else. Like being told this juicy secret you already know. It's my favorite way to fall in love with music."

Dutch singer/songwriter Tessa Rose Jackson's debut album (Songs From) The Sandbox came out earlier this year (in April). Jackson is only 20 years old, but already she's won over hearts of critics and fans everywhere, as they compare her to Feist and Fleet Foxes. Earlier this year, her song, "Lost and Found" overtook Dutch radio stations and as a result, played to sold-out shows throughout Amsterdam.
