Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley and Stephen “Ragga” Marley will be embarking on their Catch a Fire tour –which will feature Morgan Heritage, Tarrus Riley & special guests Jo Mersa, son of Stephen Marley, and Black Am I.

The tour will be kicking off in celebration of what would have been Bob Marley’s 70th birthday year, and will be making their way towards Minneapolis, MN on September 12th. Damian is also currently in the studio working on his next album.

I am super excited for this show. I know it's not Bob Marley in concert but it's the closest you're going to get as both Damian and Stephen are his sons.

I'm hoping this show takes me right back to the head shop/record store I worked at while growing up.

The Coathangers (guitarist/singer Julia "Crook Kid" Kugel, bassist Meredith "Minnie" Franco, and drummer Stephanie "Rusty" Luke) will be back in town at the Triple Rock Social Club on September 12th.

The all-girl trio's latest is called Suck My Shirt (out now on Suicide Squeeze), however I am told they were just in the studio recording new songs.

Catbath and Color TV to open the show.

The September tour will kick off September 8th in Nashville.

This Tommy Stinson (bass player for this little known band called The Replacements) with Milwaukee's Midnight Reruns and Philadelphia's Beach Slang is sold out.

Beach Slang is currently on tour in support of their upcoming debut album Find People Who Feel Like Us (out October 30 on Polyvinyl Records).

Like most of the Midwest tour, many of these bands are touring around Riot Fest in Chicago. The ambitious tour will see them meeting up with Lithuania and Worriers (who is appearing at the free Hexagon bar on September 27) later on their tour.
