"This Charming Man" was not the Smiths' first single, but it certainly the most popular of all the Smiths' songs. The single first came out October 31st, 1983, so last month the single officially turned 30 years old.

Honestly, have not listened to this new album, but I heard some of those songs live when they toured here for that album. It sounds like typical dancey Franz Ferdinand. They know the formula, they know what we like.
02. The Blow by The Blow
Been a fan of the Blow for a long time, but finally got to see them for their new self-titled album. They only did new songs, possibly because their previous albums were in collaboration with YACHT and other people. This new incarnation of the Blow is Khaela Maricich and Melissa Dyne. The live performance is tailored to the music, so it was incredible to watch. Bought their 12" record at the show, so impressed.
03. True Romance by Charli XCX
Charli XCX has the hottest song of 2012: "I Love It", but you may not know it's her song. Instead Icona Pop is credited because they released it as a single - but the song was written by Charli. She sold out her two appearance in Chicago, we caught her second show.
04. Personal Record by Eleanor Friedberger
This new record was co-written by John Wesley Harding (now known as Wesley Stace) and the beautiful Eleanor Friedberger. We've seen her three times in Minneapolis just this 2013.
05. Deltron 3030: Event II by Deltron 3030
The supergroup of Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Dan the Automator, and Kid Koala, the trio brought a hip hop/urban music that is in some ways a much better version of Gorillaz.
