It is all about Rock the Garden this Saturday. This will be the second year which the Rock the Garden show return to the Walker Arts Center. We kind of know what to expect: the large main stage and a minor, smaller stage for the local bands. This year’s Garden stage will feature U.S. Girls, Chastity Brown, and P.O.S..

Over at the main stage, snarky Father John Misty will headline... however, personally speaking, we’re pretty excited that Feist will also share the stage. We’ve seen Broken Social Scene (with Feist) a few times, but it’ll be fun to see doing Feist’s solo songs.

As for Father John Misty, we’ve been watching him since Fleet Foxes and as J Tillman. We have to say that our favorite so far is his reinvention as Father John Misty. This should be a really fun and memorable Rock the Garden night.

Gang of Youths at 7th Street (2018) Read More Gang Of Youths After two years since their debut record (Gang Of Youths), and relocating to London, England (as the band mentioned during the show), the actually have a full new album written, tentatively titled Go Farther In Lightness … Public Access T.V. Australian five-piece Gang of Youths (not to be confused with Gang of Four) is currently selling out a string of U.S. shows, thanks to buzz from SXSW, strong interests in their new album Go Farther In Lightness (Red Music), and appearing on Late Night With Seth Meyers to perform their new single “What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?”

We actually got to hear a lot of the new album last year when they appeared at the 7th Street (06 June 2017). One thing is for sure, singer David Le'aupepe almost spoke before every song to tell you what it is about... and it’s clear that he’s very passionate about his songs.

Go Farther In Lightness is out now on limited white vinyl in the U.S., with a CD release of March 30. I’m almost certain you can probably pick up a copy at their upcoming show.

New York’s Public Access TV (not to be confused with the band Public Service Broadcasting) and Montreal’s Common Holly to open.

The former, actually opened up for Gang of Four in 15 March 2015 and was actually the best thing about that show. Public Access TV are really good and should absolutely not be missed on this lineup.
