Cristina makes her annual W♥M Radio appearance!
Empire of the Sun
The Australian duo is currently on tour in America in support of their latest album
Ice On The Dune, which Cristina thinks is
too pop and did not like it. Vu still hasn't heard it, but will experience those new songs live when he sees them in Minneapolis on September 16th at the State Theatre.
See their entire
tour dates listed here.
Depeche Mode/Justice/Afrika Bambaataa
Expensive concert tickets. If Vu is lucky, he's getting one ticket to see Depeche Mode tomorrow (August 27th). Cristina, on the other hand spent $50 to see DJ duos Justice. On the opposite pricing ($0), she randomly saw Afrika Bambaataa for free.
Morrissey
Morrissey is on Vu's death-watch, however, Cristina offered a brighter perspective on the
last tour cancellation.
While we wait to hear more touring announcements from Morrissey, Specticast is releasing
Morrissey 25: Live From Hollywood High in theaters this week (August 29th) as a live event movie.
Check with your local theater listing for dates and times.
Peelander-Z
Peelander-Z lost Peelander-Red last year, so Cristina talked about the final Red show.
Peelander-Z is back with Purple who played on their eight studio album called
Metalander-Z, this time inspired by 80s "metal" bands like Cinderella, Def Leopard, AC/DC and Motley Cru, etc.
Metalander-Z comes out September 10th, via Chicken Ranch Records… just in time for their September tour:

Howard Jones/The Fixx/Greg Kihn Band
Some random 80s heroes. We love all three of Howard Jones' hits, "What is Love?" and "
the two other ones". The Fixx is back with their classic lineup, releasing a 10th studio album called
Beautiful Friction in 2012.
Speaking of 80s, The Greg Kihn Band had two big hits ("The Breakup Song" and "Jeopardy"), which you can probably hear live at one of their show. Oddly enough, he is releasing a novel called
Rubber Soul, which is an imagined mystery story about the Beatles. Who said they don't write them like that anymore? The book comes out September 3rd.
Catch Greg Kihn at these "kihncerts":
Sep 03 Rubber Soul Release San Francisco, CA
Oct 12 Kihncert 2013 Morgan Hill, CA

Bonus: Norman Reedus and the Walking Dead, The Bridge (U.S. version), The Baby (1973 Horror movie), IAMX's inability to walk straight, Vu's confusing Cult/Church moment, and Asia Argento's naked ambition.
