Although Wintersleep formed in Halifax, Nova Scotia, in the early '00, they won Canada's Juno Awards in 2008 for "New Group of the Year"! Their album (at the time), Welcome to the Night Sky, was nominated for "Alternative Album of the Year".
After touring extensively in 2010, the band finally managed to get some much needed rest and recorded a new album called Hello Hum, which will be coming out this June 12th, via Roll call Records/ILG. The album was co-produced by some of music's biggest names: Dave Fridmann (MGMT) and Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian)!

"Here We Go" is the new single and video from The Spring Standards. And there they go, on tour with Rhett Miller, this Summer. The video is quite funny, it reminds me of a grown up VICKI from Small Wonders.
The single is taken from their new album, yellow//gold , which will be out May 1st via Parachute Shooter Records. It's available on double-disc vinyl, as well as the usual CD and MP3s?

"Summer Krushhh" a song from Chocolate Robots' album, PiZzA fAcE. You can download the track for free at imposemagazine.com, which called the song "weird Canada music".
PiZzA fAcE was released last November. The band members are real life brothers, Mike, Mutt, & Marcus Giresi…. Apparently, they make pizzas in their day jobs.

You might remember that we mentioned that Ramona Falls has a new album that comes out May 1st called Prophet Out via Barsuk Records.
They have another free song for you, "Sqworm", described as a much "grittier"/darker song than their previous happier "Spore" song. You can hear and download for yourself at Spin Magazne.
