Things have slowed down here at W♥M because of the holidays and sheer laziness.
While I'm putting things up in nice tidy square cardboard boxes, I've been listening to my "go to" playlist of Belle & Sebastian, God Help the Girl and Baxendale - plus not-so-"go to" video of "Uknowwhatiwant" by Elektrisk Gønner.
I don't think any of these bands actually active (Baxendale broke up years ago). I looked up God Help the Girl and they are filming a new music video this July 2013 and they were looking for someone to allow them to film for three weeks in their "spacious" house. The house has to obviously be in Glasgow, Scotland…
They were also looking for professional and non-professional actors, assuming they are unpaid stand-ins (?).
It should be good, whatever God Help the Girl decide to do should be worth looking into. I love their debut album; I'm getting tired of listening to the one album! More please.
If you stay for the "Bonus Round", it's all Baxendale. Plus randomly: Juliana Hatfield in 1995! I found this used ticket stub to Hatfield at The Fillmore, in San Francisco on June 23rd, 1995.
