Night Riots |
The band ended their set with ‘Contagious’, which featured an extended double-drumming on two floor toms. It was incredibly fun to watch, and you can tell the band loves ending their set with this satisfying song.
The Shelters
|
The band actually features two main singers, Chase Simpson and Josh Jove (both guitarists), with the help of drummer Sebastian Harris and bassist Jacob Pillot. Of course, with their late night television appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert”, the band was quick to mention their new hit single ‘Rebel Heart’ in the middle of their set.
Near the end of their set had some of their strongest performance. Starting with ‘The Ghost is Gone’ as it featured an extended jam session in the middle of the song. For their last song, a cover of The Yardbirds’ ‘Lost Woman’ was played... but in a chaotic Shelters’ style. It got so rough, that they actually lost a microphone (it flew off the stand), that Jove had to improvised and sang with Simpson’s mic.
The Shelters’ self-titled album is out now on Warner Bros. Records.
Setlist |
Since the Hunna’s debut single ‘Bonfire’ in October 2015, the four-piece has been rising in the iTunes and Spotify charts. Over 11 million video streams, thanks to support from US tastemakers like Consequence of Sound, NYLON, Billboard and more, it would seem that The Hunna could do no wrong.
As you can see from their setlist, they practically played their debut album 100 (300 Entertainment), including their first hit single ‘Bonfire’ (which, of course, they saved for last), ‘She's Casual’, and ‘Piece by Piece’.
The Hunna, The Shelters, and Night Riots, all continues their SiriusXM “AltNation Advanced Placement” tour.
