Citradelic Tangerine IPA

Micro Shows presented by The Current and New Belgium Brewing Company featuring Frank Turner is taking place this Thursday at 4pm (note time, because there is another event in the evening). Tickets are not available to the public, the only way to get into the show to win a ticket from local radio station 89.3 The Current. With that said, expect this to be a nice intimate show. If you’re over the age of 21, you’ll also get the opportunity to taste New Belgium brewery’s latest offering “Citradelic Tangerine IPA”.

We previously caught Turner in October and described the show as completely personal, “The second Frank Turner got on stage the sold out crowd seemed to fade away and it felt like it was Frank singing just to me. It seemed like every song he sang was written for me.”

The British singer-songwriter recently released of his Ten For Ten on Xtra Mile Recordings. Ten For Ten was originally released as a 12" companion piece to Turner’s The First Ten Years boxed set from 2015.

The band played a few tracks from their self-titled 2013 debut album, but was also happy to preview some new tracks that Tommy Stinson produced. The upcoming record will come out in October. …

Eleanor Friedberger is back in the Twin Cities! We love the songwriter, and in 2013, she did a series of promotional appearances and we made sure to show up at all of them: Triple Rock (8 Jun 2013), Station to Station (12 Sep 2013), and Woman’s Club (13 Nov 2013).

Friedberger is touring on her way to SXSW, this time promoting her third solo album New View.

New York’s Icewater and Milwaukee’s Midnight Reruns to open. We previously caught Midnight Reruns last September and heard some of their new songs, “happy to preview some new tracks that Tommy Stinson produced.”

Our friends Fort Wilson Riot booked a show this Friday at the Triple Rock Social Club in Minneapolis. Al Church and Strange Relations to open, with DJ sets from DJ Dos Besos.

The last time we heard from the band, they were “trying” to get their song “Tryin’” on the top local bands on the Current.
