“Come with me to the pink chateau, down in the valley below, we can drink champagne”

Michigan-based art rock duo In the Valley Below actually means what they sing as, in anticipation of their upcoming second full-length, The Pink Chateau (Bright Antenna Records) have embarked on a short immersive experience tour, exclusively at Alamo Drafthouse theaters to play live in the cinema, as the motion picture companion to the new record, plays on-screen (and yes, Alamo serves a full food and liquor menu, as you watch).

Married couple Angela Gail and Jeffrey Jacob make up the innovative band, who played for just over an hour under dim red lighting in a front corner of the cinema, singing face-to-face directly into wireless headphones that everyone in the theater was wearing for a sensory experience unlike few others, something an early Pink Floyd might have done, when they were known as The Pink Floyd.

The new album itself, is due out April 26, with the companion film already released and featured in many film festivals around the country. Though the duo are always thinking visually when composing their songs, the idea to make a film for the album actually came initially from record label head Tiffanie Debartolo, a novelist/film director in her own right.

Gail wrote and co-directed the dreamlike film along with Marcos Efron, an awakening story of a young woman who first mysteriously follows a beautiful stranger into the countryside, ending up at an estate that looks at home in the south of France (but was actually filmed in rural Battle Creek, MI).

Each song represents a chapter in the movie’s story, inspired by vintage French erotica and faded colors of 1970s films, that explores desires and discoveries, in an open and adult way. The mostly female cast shown is diverse, and the Springtime-evoking scenery and story line are in stark contrast to the actual Michigan winter climate, when/where the soundtrack was initially composed.

The music itself more than stands on its own- from the album’s opening and first single, ‘Rise’ produced by Dave (TV on the Radio) Sitek, to a spanning ‘Hold on Tight’ played towards the film’s end that builds its roar meticulously, to ‘The Beggar’ with its sharp guitar riffs, that played as the end credits rolled.

The Pink Chateau Audio Immersive Tour is truly a unique sound and visual experience that shouldn’t be missed if there is an upcoming Alamo date near you. The band sticks around following, to say hello and sell some merch (but not the new record early, unfortunately) and expect them to tour further and more conventionally, once the new album is released.

But the dog of Todd Snider was the only one not excited for the Portland (now living in Nashville) folk singer/songwriter’s return to the Twin Cities, packing his faithful fans into the Fitzgerald Theater in downtown St. Paul, for an entertaining evening of stories and songs.

Born and bred in a central Illinois town of twenty-five people, folk singer-songwriter Cody Diekhoff adopted Chicago Farmer first as a band name, but it soon became his solo stage moniker as he traveled, from town to town playing. His latest is a self-released double live album, last August’s Quarter Past Tonight and already brought in a built-on fan base, as many had seen him play previously with Northern Minnesota folk artist Charlie Parr.

“My goodness, I think this is the most people I’ve ever played to, indoors” said a beaming Diekhoff, mentioning he and Parr often had played locally in January and February, thinking this April date would be more Spring-like (but ten to twelve inches of fresh snow had just fallen).

Like an Arlo Guthrie or Jack Elliott, the songs were mostly people stories set to music, from the baseball players in ‘Dirtiest Uniforms’ to recounting hitting a deer in ‘Deer in the Sky’, and a gift from his grandmother with ‘The Twenty Dollar Bill’. Peppered with humorous comments of financial struggle like “you know times are tough if you’ve got a fraction in your address” and “I was living in tiny houses before they were cool”, made for a compelling forty-minute opening set.

Todd Snider maybe can’t count-- his new record is called Cash Cabin Sessions Vol. 3 (Aimless Records)… even though we never saw volumes one or two, but that’s just likely part of his overall humor. After recording several recent rock records, a 2015 visit to Cash Cabin Studio to record a song with Loretta Lynn helped inspire the new album, a provocative collection of subversively sparse folk songs.

Half of the new record was played over Snider’s hundred-minute headlining set and though we never got the explanation if there were volumes one and two, no one seemed at all bothered. Snider, in frumpy hat and smiling unshaven face with guitar and harmonica, started things with the title track from his 2004 album, East Nashville Skyline followed by the same album’s ‘Age Like Wine’ and ‘The Ballad of the Kingsmen’, about the legendary ‘60s band.

“Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated” Snider announced, having shaken off recent personal troubles and is back on the road, at perhaps at his healthiest in years. Snider appreciated the audience being receptive to the new songs, starting with ‘Just Like Overnight’ about the frustrations of difficult change, followed by ‘The Ghost of Johnny Cash’ inspired by those sessions with Lynn at Cash’s old studio.

The biting ‘Talking Reality Television Blues’ referenced today’s politics and how an “old man with a comb-over sold us the moon” and “reality was killed by a reality star” followed by a funny story of playing under the influence with his other project Hard Working Americans and another political ballad, from 2004, but still applicable today.

2009’s ‘Greencastle Blues’ was about getting pulled over and jailed in Indiana and Snider picked up a banjo for the new “Blues on Banjo’, mentioning he recently bought the instrument, determined to play blues on it, jokingly mentioning that all blues songs seem to start at sunrise with “woke up this morning” (which his song then did as well).

The new album’s opener, ‘Working on a Song’ is actually about another song, one he has frustratingly worked on finishing for thirty years, 2002’s ‘Beer Run’ remains a fan favorite and crowd sing-a-long, and 1994’s ‘Alright Guy’, his breakout early single, was stretched out to include a story in the song’s middle.

For the encore, Snider came out fiercely with ‘A Timeless Response To Current Events’ from the new record, featuring more lyrics than Dylan’s ‘Subterranean Homesick Blues’ and a profane chorus. 

The evening would end with the new ‘Force of Nature’ from the new album (recorded with Jason Isbell) as Snider imparted some bright words of wisdom- “may your hope always outweigh your doubt” and “may you play at least loud enough, to always wake yourself up” seguing out with a snippet from Dylan’s ‘Blowin in the Wind’.

A quarter-century later, Todd Snider proved himself to not only still be an alright guy, but a musical force of nature as well. Those that missed him on this outing, can travel to one of several upper upcoming Midwest shows, or see him in Minneapolis again in late May, opening for the legendary John Prine.

Amazon Music News: Metric and Big Data's "Risk" (Amazon Original Remix)

There are some big news coming from major online retailer giant Amazon.

The first is that Google and Amazon have made up and play nice… so YouTube will once again be available on Amazon’s devices, such as The Echo and Fire Stick.

Second is that Amazon will start making their Amazon Music streaming service available to non-Prime users, but with advertisements, according to Engadget. This would make sense, considering that you can already stream Spotify (with ads) on Amazon’s speakers.

Of course, the free service will be limited, as Amazon still wants you to pay for their full Music service, with access to more than 50 million songs.

Also, speaking of Amazon Music, it was announced yesterday that Metric and Big Data (artist/producer Alan Wilkis) have teamed up to release an Amazon Original Remix of “Risk.” You can only listen (or purchase) only on Amazon Music.

Personally speaking, the free Amazon Music is a little too late, as I’ve actually gone all-in with Google’s devices (such as the Lenovo’s Smart Display) as they offer the ability to upload music you own via Google Play. What is better about this, is that you may own a lot of music that is simply not available on any streaming platform - such as live recordings or bootlegs or obscure singles and B-Sides.

UPDATE: Not to be outdone by Amazon, Google also allowed a free version of their YouTube Music service available on their speakers and Smart Display. Go here for the instructions to turn on the feature.

A love call answered--

Neo-soul rising band Durand Jones and the Indications returned to sell out the 7^th Street Entry in downtown Minneapolis, an “indication” that they’re destined for bigger things and larger rooms, their next time through.

Huntington Beach, CA-based Cameron Lew is the songwriter behind Ginger Root, who play live as a trio (adding Matt Carney on drums and Dylan Hovis on bass) doing music self-described as “aggressive elevator soul” which is a meaty, though not incorrect description. Mahjong Room (Acrophase Records) is their latest full-length.

The music is signature West Coast bedroom pop, similar in composing settings to Jay Som or Toro y Moi, keyboard-based and peppered with classic 60’s soul flourishes. On stage, the trio look like a small IT department, but Lew’s voice can rise to the “get down” levels and his honest, deadpan humor between songs, helped keep the attention of the crowd.

Song inspirations came from such disparate subjects as the Seinfeld TV show and Chef Emeril Lagasse, most run just three minutes or so, and have simple titles like ‘Havin’ Fun’ and ‘Ohio’. After seventeen shows as the opener, it was their last with the headliner, so Lew decided to cover ‘What Christmas Means to Me’ (made famous in 1967 by Stevie Wonder), … well, just because…, before closing things with the cool vibes of ‘Call it Home’.

At almost a year to the day when we last saw them sell out the room, Durand Jones and the Indications returned (surprisingly to the same 250-capacity 7^th Street Entry) to once again sell out their show, but even quicker than last time.

The five-piece has a new album, American Love Call (Dead Oceans/Colemine Records) that maintains its ‘70s-esque soul sound, but like Marvin Gaye’s What ‘s Going On, lyrically turns both more inward and also outward, in examining the world around us. Jones and band (Aaron Frazer-drums; Blake Rhein- guitar; Kyle Houpt-bass; Steve Okonoski-organ) didn’t bring the horn section we saw them with last time, but the Indiana band and singer were tight enough, that the extra brass wasn’t needed.

Their musical social awareness was evident from the start, with ‘Make a Change’ opening their eighty-minute headlining set and in the short time since we last caught them, their musical vision seems more focused, the four-part harmonies more perfected, and the songs much more than just a simple reverse-engineering of ‘60s Stax/’70s Atlantic soul tunes.

Drummer Frazer’s Smokey-esque falsetto is still like a cool breeze through your hair on songs like ‘Don’t You Know’ and ‘Court of Love’, but he seemed to take lead less than previous and the doo-wop vocals aren’t as much a part of the more recent songs. Jones masters the soul crooning even more than before and his love pleading on ‘Walk Away’ can be felt with an ache.

Jones changed the opening line setting of ‘Morning in America’ to “It’s still in Minneapolis,” to get the audience ears to prick up about the song’s other lyrics describing the opioid crisis, race, jail and public school troubles, and as result, admitted in song he “can’t see the dawn”, then picked up a sax as Frazer sung ‘How Can I Be Sure’, as a Lauryn Hill verse worked as a seamless bridge in ‘Now I’m Gone’.

Jones channeled his inner Otis Redding for a snappy ‘Groovy Babe’, with a vocal vs. drumbeat battle to break up the song, and bringing louder crowd cheers. There is an enduring familiarity to ‘Long Way Home’ even though the song is new and ‘True Love’ sounds equally timeless, a song one could easily imagine Jackie Wilson singing.

After a smooth Curtis Mayfield cover, the band would end the main set with the song they opened with previously, the upbeat ‘Smile’ that belies the true inner pain as Jones sings “try to just get by for a while, to hide my pride paint-on smile”.

Frazer would begin the two-song encore singing the low-key ‘Is It Any Wonder’, his lilting falsetto drifting effortlessly over the crowd like a calm wave, and then the evening would end with a soulful but authentic Beatles cover.

With second full-length American Love Call, there is no “sophomore slump” for Durand Jones and the Indications; in fact, the reverse is true. With a solid and evolved self-described “road album” in tow and compelling live show, the band’s extensive touring to even greater-size audiences, will make them a secret no more.

“It’s Ewan’s birthday today...so we’re all wearing his teeth!”

The occasion was another in the series of local Go Shows- club concerts featuring breaking artists and sponsored by local radio station GO96.3, this outing featuring brother/sister-led Broods and two brother-led Bad Sounds.

The opening band’s lead singer was celebrating his birthday; so the headliners, in tribute, decided to all wear the same Bad Sounds t-shirt that featured a closeup of the singer’s smiling mouth on the front.

Bath, UK-raised, Bristol-based five-piece Bad Sounds (Ewan Merrett-keys/vocals; Callum Merrett- vocals/samples; Charlie Pitt -bass; Sam Hunt-guitar; Olivia Dimery- drums) is bad in the way that people would use the term in the 70’s- as in they’re baaaad! The buzzing band has already made waves overseas, playing most major European and UK festivals in support of last summer’s debut full-length, Get Better (Insanity Records) and has North America in their sights next.

“This is our first time here, you all seem lovely”, they said early into their thirty-minute set filled with a cacophony of sounds- disco/funk beats against found sound samples (a la Beck), and verse influenced by early hip-hop MCs like that of De La Soul.

“Thank you for coming to my birthday party...it’s a bit rude because I didn’t invite any of you!” Ewan joked before ‘Meat on my Bones’, and their song ‘Milk It’ could only start with the lyric, “Holy cow!”.

“This is out first time in America, we feel a bit out of our depth” Calum admitted, “this is a song about the sh*t town we’re from” he said, before going into their mixtape-only song, ‘Hot Head Chippenham’. With energy high, Ewan and band departed the stage with many in the crowd singing Happy Birthday as they left.

Consider the monster fed--

New Zealand sibling duo Georgia and Caleb Nott lead Broods, an indie-electropop band that has gradually built its steady and loyal audience over the six years and three albums since the band’s formal founding in 2013. Their latest, Don’t Feed the Pop Monster (Neon Gold/Atlantic Records) was released in February, and is perhaps the group’s least dark and most commercially accessible work to date.

The band started their eighty-two minute with the new album’s opening track. ‘Sucker’, set against dramatic lighting and Georgia smartly dressed in a leather jacket and red cowboy hat admitting in song she is “a sucker for everything, but I'll always go back to the simple things, my Stevie and Sting”. Following was the new ‘To Belong’ then ‘Eyes a Mess’, a 2018 single destined for the new record, but left off in the end.

The overall set’s flow rewarded the patient, with the band gradually building energy as singer Nott’s voice evolved from soft and breathy, to soaring with range, with the double shot of 2014’s ‘L.A.F’ and 2016’s ‘Free’ taking things to new heights. Broods is obviously proud of the new album, playing all of its twelve tracks, while peppering in several older favorites.

‘Hospitalized’ the third and most recent single from the album, got the crowd dancing along with its quick beats, and the band didn’t stop to catch their breath before seguing into the new ‘Old Dog’. 

‘Everything Goes (Wow)’ is about accepting and making peace with the limited morality we all have, and the set-ending anthem ‘Peach’ that brought everyone’s hands in the air, shook off any previous dark-pop reputations of the band with Nott singing “I’m high and I’m low, no control, but everything’s looking peach now” as she bounded from one end of the stage to the other.

The band was coaxed back by the loud cheers and screams for a one-song encore of 2016’s ‘Couldn’t Believe’ with Nott singing “let’s give in to this” which most in the crowd did, in dance, song, and clapping along with little abandon. 

Broods may have all been wearing t-shirts with matching teeth, but it was the entire crowd that was smiling back, following.

So said all the signs around downtown Minneapolis as the city hosted its first NCAA Final Four Basketball Championship for the first time since 2001 and as a musical prelude to the big game, Fitz and the Tantrums played a free outdoor concert on the pedestrian-only Nicollet Mall, transformed for the weekend into the Tip-Off Tailgate.

The blocks-long area was filled with people visiting food and exhibit booths, waiting to ride the ten-story high Ferris Wheel, and seeing the sights on their way to nearby U.S. Bank Stadium for the tip off between favored Virginia and upstarts Texas Tech.

Los Angeles indie-funk pop/soul Fitz and the Tantrums have long been a local live favorite, first having played Bunker’s on an unbearably frigid sub-zero night in Feb 2011, then returning a mere five months later, to near triple-digit heat at the Basilica Block Party, and who have been returning regularly to the area and to crowds of growing size, ever since.

Starting by heavily leaning on songs from 2013’s More than Just a Dream (Elektra Records) singer Noelle Scaggs dedicated ‘Break the Walls’ “to all the rebels out there” as she and lead singer Michael Fitzpatrick jumped about the large stage. Sax player/musical director James King and drummer John Wicks teamed for a sax vs. drums tet-a-tet to end the buoyant ‘Complicated’ and Scaggs vocally shone on their Eurythmics cover.

Third single from More than Just a Dream, ‘Fool’s Gold’ remains criminally underrated, but a constant live staple, and Fitzpatrick asked before their breakout hit, ‘MoneyGrabber’ how many had seen the band before, and how many were seeing them for the first time, with the crowd only slightly leaning towards the newbies, but obviously gaining new fans along the way.

With the hour-long set building, the band closed strongly with their highest-charting song to date, 2016’s earworm ‘HandClap’ and the whistle-heavy bouncing pop of 2013’s ‘The Walker’, perhaps appropriate for all the basketball fans walking the several blocks from the concert to the nearby game.

For anyone that missed the free show (easy to have done, as downtown traffic on game night was Super Bowl-like), Fitz and the Tantrums just booked in a June 15 date at First Avenue along with tour mates Coin, on an off-night from their summer amphitheater co-headlining tour with Young the Giant.

The band’s new single, ‘123456’ is out now, with a new full-length due later this year.

As fun as rainbow cotton candy at a carnival, and more colorful than an exploding Skittles factory--

The March Madness Music Festival saved the best for last as Katy Perry and Zedd played to a capacity Armory in downtown Minneapolis, on the last night of the three-day indoor music festivities.

As part of the weekend entertainment activities based around the city hosting the NCAA Final Four Basketball Championship for the first time since 2001, this would be the third of three consecutive nights of free concerts (after The Chainsmokers/Judah and the Lion and Jonas Brothers/Elle King) held this year at a much smaller indoor venue (rather than a typical outdoor open field or parking lot), from fear of Minnesota’s early April ever-changing weather, so tickets as a whole, were scarce.

Zedd is the musical nom de plume of Russian-German DJ, producer, multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Anton Zaslavski, (who stylized the first letter of his last name to get his alter-ego) and who proved to be an ideal choice to rev the sold-out crowd up during his hour-long opening DJ set. Drawing on tracks from his two albums, multiple singles, and numerous collaborations, the mix ebbed and flowed continuously beginning with 2015’s ‘Beautiful Now’.

Perched atop a DJ platform, lights flashed and on-screen visuals (patterns, shapes, colors and his own logo) swirled and moved with the rhythm and BPM of the tracks. The first half of his set leaned heavier on collaborations, with some covers and influences mixed in, jumping from present day to a 1990 sampled riff from AC/DC, then even back to 1987 and Whitney Houston.

Just over halfway through, the crowd got a very pleasant surprise as Katy Perry strutted on stage and up and down the extended catwalk in high white boots and an orange studded dress with matching beret, for the first live public performance of the duo’s recent collaboration, ‘365’.

With the crowd still loud, Zedd resumed his set, ending with a quintet of the most well-known songs he has appeared on- from his collaboration with Alessia Cara, to an Ariana Grande remix, to his chart-topping ‘The Middle’ with Maren Morris. To end things, Zedd took it back to the beginning, to 2012’s ‘Clarity’, the Grammy-winning song that topped the US Dance charts and became his breakthrough song.

Celebrities were easily seen in the second-level VIP section, including Josh Duhamel (who graciously came down to shake hands and take selfies), Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, former TV Bachelor Ben Higgins, former athletes, and broadcast personalities from CBS, ABC, and ESPN.

With a colorful stage set that was part-Willy Wonka, part-Patrick Nagel, Katy Perry was picture-perfect and musically precise for her ninety-minute headlining set. Springing out of her Witness Tour (which ended last August) and perhaps a precursor to a rumored Las Vegas residency, this one-off show was exactly the kind of pop-filled confection the crowd had come to see and hear.

Similar to her previous tour, the set started with two songs from her most recent album, with Perry in a multi-colored short dress and high red-latex boots. Her band members spread out on various platforms in matching black and white wardrobes, with six costumed-changing dancers hovering around her. 

“Everybody knows that I like balls… big, orange basketballs” she teased, “this is a very special show, just for you, Minni!”

“Shall we take it all the way to the eighties?” she asked as her dancers surrounded her for a bubbly ‘Teenage Dream’. “This is rock and roll...actually, I call it pop and roll”, Perry said correcting herself and thanking the crowd for staying up, playing a later show than normal for her.

Two enterprising local gentlemen (Dave from Shakopee and Colin from Eden Prairie) dressed as the blue sharks made famous from her Super Bowl appearance, and were allowed on stage during ‘California Gurls’ to dance with Perry- “every time I invite sharks on stage, they steal the show”. Perry and her six dancers even elevated over the stage at one point, sitting and singing on a long yellow beam as it rose to near the top of the large set.

“Do any of you believe in aliens?” she asked leading into ‘E.T.’ followed by the suggestive hip-hop thump of ‘Peacock’, and things would then slow down nicely as Perry picked up an acoustic guitar for ‘The One That Got Away’. So nice they played it twice, Zedd returned to the stage for another performance of the new ‘365’.

Her makeup crew did a quick touch up as Perry mentioned the cameras would roll to show a couple of performances on television the following night during the championship game (though I didn’t see anything) as ‘Part of Me’ was sped up in tempo and the basketball-themed ‘Swish Swish’ seemed like the theme song of the weekend.

The throb of ‘Pendulum’ and bombast of ‘Firework’ would end the evening, complete with multi-colored confetti blasts, streamers, and a balloon drop, filling the arena with a swath of primaries, pastels, and brights.

We love Eels, and caught him in June 2018 and wrote, “The return of Eels with 2018’s The Deconstruction is pretty important, because after their 2014 tour and album release, Mark Everett (aka “E”) had reconsidered retiring from music. He was simply burnt out from the constant tour and constantly producing new music. So the band took a break, and E tried out acting (appearing in Netflix’s Love), and spent time with his family.”

We also noted that he had a very excellent band in the podcast that we recorded right after the show.

News: Morrissey Cancels First Six Canadian 2019 Dates

Sadly, I have to report that Morrissey had to cancel six Canadian dates on his upcoming tour, which does not bode well as he just announced a 2019 US tour.

What’s odd about this recent cancellation (the day before the show was to take place), was that a fan posted this cancellation information on April 11th… but it wasn’t officially announced until earlier today via an email to ticket holders (see message here).

The venue and Morrissey’s team definitely knew about this problem at least two or three days earlier, but they waited until a day before to make the announcement.

The other strange thing is that if you go to Morrissey’s official website, Facebook, or Twitter, there’s absolutely no mentioning of the cancellations. I think their PR team is trying to keep things under the rug and avoid backlash from the fans… but let’s be honest, you guys knew this was going to happen, right?

Great way of kicking off the 2019 tour.

Cancellation Message for Vancouver, April 14

Your event is still on, but it's rescheduled.

Due to a medical emergency stemming from an accident incurred while traveling in Europe, Morrissey will be forced to postpone his performances in Vancouver to October 14th and 15th, 2019.

Spirits are high and the artist is on the path to a swift recovery. All tickets will be valid for the new date and exchanges will not be necessary. Thank you for your understanding.

Morrissey looks forward to making his long-awaited return to the city and wishes to deeply thank everyone for their patience. All remaining dates on Morrissey’s tour will resume as planned, commencing in Toronto on Friday Apr 26.

We♥Sports: NCAA Fan Fest and Tip-Off Tailgate - Minneapolis (2019-April 5 to 8)

March Madness descended upon the Twin Cities as the metro hosted its first NCAA Final Four Basketball Finals since 2001, with plenty of other associated entertainment in tow, whether a fan of college hoops or not.

Among the other related activities were the NCAA Fan Fest (open Fri-Mon at the Convention Center) and the Tip-Off Tailgate, an open air area of food, booths, and activities set up along Nicollet Mall featuring a free-to-ride, ten-story high Ferris Wheel.

NCAA Fan Fest is described as a "sports wonderland" and included interactive games, celebrity and athlete appearances/autograph sessions, home run derby, rock climbing, and more. Capital One cardholders and kids 12 were under free and everyone else paid a small admission fee.

The sponsor-heavy exhibit filled the convention center offered numerous photo opportunities, new product tastings, car showings, video gaming, other sports activities as diverse as lacrosse, hockey, and football.

There was a chance to shoot baskets while riding a bucking bronco-like swerving basketball and a pick up medieval caged version of Game of Thrones basketball (?!), culminating in a chance to sit on a replica of the fabled throne chair itself, and one could also view the actual NCAA championship trophy on display. 

With all of the corporate sponsorship involved, it maybe should have been free to everyone, but was likely a fun afternoon for any family with pre-teen kids.

Stepping outside a few blocks away was the outdoor Tip-Off Tailgate area, which filled pedestrian-only Nicollet Mall for blocks. In addition to the Ferris Wheel (which was only a 20min or so, wait to get on), food trucks and booths, product samplings, an outdoor stage and several screens were up, so the crowd could watch the games, happening just a few blocks away at sold-out U.S. Bank Stadium.

NCAA Fan Fest and the Tip-Off Tailgate were fun weekend additions to the city hosting The Final Four basketball games, and a free or low-cost way to spend the afternoon in the fleetingly nice early April weather. The tournament moves to Atlanta and their new stadium, next year.
