Dorothy 2019 Tour Read More Dorothy Los Angeles-based alternative rock band Dorothy will be heading to Minneapolis at the Fine Line Music Café this January 5th. The band will be playing some new tracks ... Spirit Animal Brooklyn-based alt-rock band Spirit Animal will be playing the Amsterdam Bar & Hall in St Paul. After supporting Greta Van Fleet, Los Angeles-based rock band Dorothy continues with their final leg of their “Freedom Tour” ... stopping by the Varsity Theater this Friday, February 1st.

We caught the band (led by Budapest-born singer Dorothy Martin) in Jan 2018 and wrote, “Martin’s vocals naturally soar like a young Ann Wilson with the new material generally upbeat and more blues-tinged than last year’s Rockisdead (on Jay-Z’s Roc Nation Records?!) album. After the crunchy Zeppelin-esque ‘Who Do You Love’ Martin commented briefly about the weather, but quickly got on with things, determined to keep the heat already generated, inside the building.”

Disturbed is bringing Three Days Grace to the Target Center this Friday.

We caught the Canadian band Three Days Grace in Feb 2013 and said, “With four album's worth of material to work with, My Darkest Days' singer Matt Walst (displacing Adam Gontier), had no trouble "kicking ass" throughout their set. They played through all their hits, including the popular "I Hate Everything About You", which had the crowd singing along to the chorus.”

Australian alt-rock duo Hockey Dad is co-headlining with Hunny for the upcoming 7th Street Entry show on February 4th.

If the name Hockey Dad sounds familiar, that’s because they were one of our picks for SXSW 2018. As for Hunny, we saw them in Oct 2016 and said, “Hunny (not to be confused with Christian rock band Honey), opened up the show, playing tracks from their Pain/Ache/Loving EP. The last time we saw the band in October 2015, they did not have all their band members... not so on this current tour. As you can see from the photo, all six band members were accounted for (Jason, Jake, Joey, Jacob, Gregory, and Kevin).”

We caught Dan Mangan (back when he was touring as Dan Mangan + Blacksmith in Oct 2014 and wrote, “From Vancouver "the most cities", Dan Mangan + Blacksmith are normally a larger band, but for this tour, their guitarist Gordon just had a baby, so they are a stripped down three-piece for this tour.”
