Joe Maus, the bassist and brother to John Maus, has died while on tour. He was rather young, only 30 years old.
The news was announced by Ribbon Music via Twitter:
After a seven year absent from the Minneapolis’ stage, we finally caught John Maus at the sold-out Cedar Cultural Center in April 2018, and noted that the band featuring Joe Maus, was really tight thanks to their constant touring the year prior.
With the close family member death, John Maus has cancelled all appearances. I would not blame him if he take a long hiatus from the stage.
