Joe Jackson, the patriarch of the Jackson family (not to be confused with English songwriter Joe Jackson), has died at the age of 89, according to tmz.com.
Joe Jackson was the mastermind behind The Jackson 5, launching them to a music career... but not without an iron fist. Although his abusive parenting style does not look good on Joe, he said that his style kept made his kids successful, particularly the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and his sister Janet Jackson.
Joe Jackson was inducted into the Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame as a member of the class of 2014.
