We are saddened to learn that Frightened Rabbit's singer and songwriter, Scott Hutchison, is dead at the age of
36. More details on bbc.com: “The discovery was made at Port Edgar, between the Forth Road Bridge and Queensferry Crossing, at about 20:30 on Thursday…. Mr Hutchison had spoken openly about his battle with depression over the years, with elder brother Neil saying he had done so "in an attempt to help other people with similar conditions".”
It is suggested that Scott Hutchison committed suicide as a result of suffering from depression.
We’ve seen the Scottish band numerous times, and have always took for granted that we’ll see them again on the next tour. At a happier time, we caught the band at Festival Palomino 2016 and wrote, “The rising Scottish band played a raucous too-short and too-early set that turned the amp volumes up starting with the opening ‘Get Out’ from latest album Painting of a Panic Attack (Atlantic Records) and found singer Scott Hutchison is a friendly and chatty mood.”
