Here are some shows taking place in the Minneapolis/St Paul area from December 9 to December 13, 2016.
THE TWILIGHT HOURS
at Turf Club
Friday, 12/09/16, 8pm ($15 / Sold Out)
turfclub.net
The Twilight Hours (Matt Wilson and John Munson) is playing a sold-out show at the Turf Club this Friday, December 9th. We previously caught the band and mentioned that Matt Wilson, is, in fact, Dan Wilson’s brother. Matt is also the singer for the incredibly popular local group Trip Shakespeare.
Show up early to check out Chicago-based supergroup The Flat Five, featuring Kelly Hogan, Nora O’Connor, Scott Ligon, Casey McDonough, Alex Hall.
We saw Kelly Hogan in 2013 when we mentioned that ““I know it’s a school night,” Kelly Hogan joked to a very enthusiastic Turf Club crowd before thanking everyone for coming out to the show. Weeknights plus zero degree weather can really kill the music-watching spirit, but those who braved the elements last night were treated to a spectacular set from Atlanta-native singer and songwriter Hogan and her excellent back-up band of Nora O’Connor, Casey McDonough and drummer Gerald Dowd. ”
