Humble Bundle is giving away Tropico 4 for free right now. The offer ends tomorrow (September 10th) at 10am.
Sounds great, right? There are a few hurdles, but it’s not so bad. First of all, if you don’t have a Humble Bundle or Steam account, you have to create two accounts. After you link the account and convince the computer that you are “not a robot”, they will give you a steam key.
I got the free game in my library... but personally speaking, I have no intention of actually installing and playing the game... but for the price of FREE, I might as well add them to my growing library. I do this with Comixology, I will automatically “buy” all the free promotional comics and never read them. I actually may already own the comics when they were originally printed on paper.
This weekend, I’ll be catching up on my semi-recent Doom purchase for the PlayStation 4. For some odd reason, I was at a Game Stop and they were selling the Doom game brand new for $19.99 (it was a flash sale in late August 2016). I just check retail stores, the price is regularly $59.99. I actually own it on Steam when it was on sale for $35, but for $20, I couldn't pass it up getting it again for the PS4.
The only benefit on getting this on the PS4 is that my computer is not always available for gaming. Plus, if I choose to, I can sell back my PS4 game to Game Stop or Best Buy, which is something that you cannot do with PC or digital games.
I think for my next couple of semi-big purchases, I may look into getting the XBox One S or a budget 4k television. I already own two televisions, so the latter might be a tough argument.
