Brandon Flowers is currently on tour for his second solo album, The Desired Effect, out now on Island Records. If you didn't know - Flowers is the lead singer and main songwriter for the hit band The Killers.
Show up early to check out Rey Pila, in support for their sophomore album The Future Sugar (arriving September 25th on Cult Records). If the name 'Cult Records' sounds familiar, this is Juliana Casablancas (The Strokes) record label - and so it should be no surprise that he and Chris Coady (Beach House/Yeah Yeah Yeahs) produced the upcoming album.

MIKAL CRONIN

At the heart of Chicago’s The Cairo Gang is singer/songwriter Emmett Kelly, a crafter of jangly, electric folk-rock reminiscent of the Byrds. Kelly is probably best known as a friend and collaborator of Will Oldham, playing guitar and singing on several Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy recordings (notably 2006’s The Letting Go and their joint effort 2010’s The Wonder Show of the World). He has also worked and toured with Joan of Arc, Beth Orton and Angel Olsen. After debuting with 2006’s The Cairo Gang and recording a handful of EPs and guest spots, Kelly released two very well-received full-length albums: Corner Man in 2012 and then Tiny Rebels in 2013, both on Empty Cellar records. The latter record was cut in a week in a flurry of hot inspiration and features gorgeous layered vocals and reverb-laden melodies.
The Cairo Gang will be supporting Mikal Cronin whose effervescent garage-rock has put him at the top of a lot of critics lists in the last few years. In May, Cronin released MCIII, his first for Merge Records.

We previously mentioned the ex-Sonic Youth band leader Thurston Moore Band when they toured with Chain and the Gang in April 2015. It would seem that the band is finally making their way to Minneapolis on Thursday, September 10th.
The Thurston Moore Band - comprised of Moore, James Sedwards on guitar, My Bloody Valentine bassist Deb Googe, and former Sonic Youth drummer Steve Shelley - are touring in support of their album The Best Day, released in 2014 on Matador Records.
