I've said this before, but it bears repeating: my favorite all-in-one media box is actually the PlayStation 3, a gaming console. While I won't go into a lot of details, needless to say, I have used many, many streaming boxes out there and I've always come back to PS3. It just does it all: Gaming, Blu-Ray + DVD discs, DLNA, Harddrive/USB media, YouTube, Amazon, Vudu, Crackle, Hulu Plus, Netflix, and Redbox.
Below is a review of the ad-based VidZone, which is available in the PS3 "My Channels".

VIDZONE

MTV who created the "music video genre" was also the one that killed it. Fortunately, the music videos never really died, but instead, in the modernday scenario, has resurrected itself for the YouTube generation. Online music videos are more popular than ever, and it's how many teens today are discovering new music. I love it, and I'm glad to see a music video company such as VidZone (despite its terrible name).
What I instantly love about VidZone is that it's absolutely free (supported by pre-roll ads). You can watch unlimited music videos all day long, and the ads will play every five or so videos. Which is a small complaint, but, again, for the price of zero dollars, you can't really complain that much.
There are various "zones" you can play from, I mostly stuck with the 'Alternative Zone' and noticed that they basically only had a few bands. Within 20 minutes, I got a few Mumford & Son and Lorde videos. Surely, diversity is not their thing. I tried searching for my favorite artists, and none of them showed up in the search. Unless you're signed to Sony Music, I don't think you're going to be seen on VidZone, unfortunately.
I also tried playing some pre-programmed interviews/live performance (Norah Jones with Belle & Sebastian), and it was unbearable. I have "pretty fast" internet of 10Mb download, but it felt like dial-up when I tried playing the video. It was so bad, I just closed it and went back to the main menu.
