MS MR
msmrsounds.com
New York City-based duo MS MR has had a very busy year since WeHeartMusic last covered them and have just embarked on their first North American headlining tour. In support of their full-length debut, Secondhand Rapture (IAMSOUND/Columbia Records) the tour includes a Saturday night stop at Minneapolis’ 7th Street Entry, for an already sold-out show.
Lizzy Plapinger and Max Hershenow have picked up much additional international buzz after successful festival appearances this summer at Lollapalooza, Glastonbury and Outside Lands. The HBO series Game of Thrones including their song ‘Bones’ probably didn’t hurt things either. The chillwave duo brings the grandeur of their brand of cinematic pop to a live setting, which should include a few choice cover versions, including one from LCD Soundsystem, so do what you can to locate a ticket.

MRS. MAGICIAN

Thrill Me Records wants you to stream their latest Mrs. Magician's B-Sides album right now on Soundcloud.
As the title of their record suggests, this is a B-Sides compilation of the entire Mrs. Magician's singles discography.
Frontman Jacob Turnbloom commented about the release, "I'm excited these songs are coming out on a physical release, in true Mrs Magician fashion. It's honest and self deprecating, everything I love about real pop-punk. It shows where Tommy Garcia (guitar) & I were when we started this band. It's a documentation of our friendship turned eventually into a band. It shows our growth as song writers and producers. I'm proud of the record no matter how imperfect it may seem, it's real and the lyrics reflect that."
