ROGUE WAVE
roguewavemusic.com
You know, I have often mistaken this California band for Minneapolis' own Rogue Valley. Rogue Wave is basically Zach Rogue (vocals, guitar) with Patrick Spurgeon (drummer) and various band members.
Originally signed to Sup Pop, but currently with the release of Nightingale Floors on June 4th, 2013, is through Vagrant Records.
The band is currently on tour in support of the new record.

PORTLAND CELLO PROJECT

These guys are pretty fun, Portland Cello Project (PCP), the last few times I saw them, and they like to play heavy metal on cello.
I guess their latest project is working on the "Beck's Song Reader".
Check out one of their songs:
The good news is that PCP is currently on tour with Laura Gibson - who I saw last year and absolutely love her "La Grande" song.
