Read More Ghost Beach We previously mentioned Ghost Beach before. The New York band is back with a new release, Modern Tongues Remixed (out now). The band will be bringing their "retro & futuristic" synth-pop music on tour…

Chad Valley, along with Ghost Beach, stopped by 7th St. Entry in Downtown Minneapolis. The Oxford lad is currently on tour in support of his full-length, Young Hunger.
Ghost in the Water was the first opener at last night’s shows. The local two person band consisting of Nathan and Mandy Tensen Woolery played a fun set full of synth, guitars, and fun keyboard beats.
According to their biography, the duo has been around since 2008 with the release of their debut album Tooth.
Following Ghost in the Water, the self-described “Tropical grit pop band from NYC”, Ghost Beach came on stage. The Ghost Beach duo Josh Ocean and Eric Mendelsohn brought their own smoke machine, lasers, and strobes that led to an exciting stage performance. Their infectious electro pop sound with influences such as Daft Punk, Depeche Mode, and The Police made the crowd move and dance, and at one point someone from the crowd joined the band onstage and began to dance with them. During the middle of the set, Josh Ocean (the vocalist) hopped off stage to dance along with the crowd.
To close their set, Ghost Beach invited the headliner Chad Valley to hop on stage to help sing the last song. The fairly new band self-released their EP “Modern Tongues” in October of 2012 and was later to be picked up by Crazy Heart Records.
The headliner of the show, UK based band Chad Valley closed the show keeping along with the electro pop theme. The band paired with Ghost Beach for the first half of the US tour, and will be pairing up with Ski Lodge until the band returns to the UK.
Look for Chad Valley's Young Hunger, available now on Cascine. In the meantime, Chad Valley continues his tour:
