Hank Williams - Howlin' At the Moon
..... Yep, this week's theme is country music.

2012 has been a busy year for Anthony D'Amato. He released Paper Back Bones to critical acclaims (NPR called it a "modern folk gem" while BBC named the album "Best of 2012") and just finished a month-long tour with Israel Nash Gripka in the UK.
Prior to Paper Back Bones (2012) and Down Wires (2010), D'Amato had Shades of the Prison House, which I couldn't find it available for purchase anywhere. Is he embarrassed by the original album? I do see "Hank Williams Tune" from Prison House, made it onto Paper Back Bones. I did listen to the Paper Back Bones version on Soundcloud, and I think it's the same version (but it sounded louder on Soundcloud).
Anyway, on Prison House, there is a song called "For Emily, On New Year's Day" which is fitting because this is, after all, New Year's Day. It's also to welcome Emily, who joined us in May.
She's covering a few shows for us this brand new year, hopefully we'll hear about her first Morrissey experience and a report on Eels when they come to Minneapolis.
As for Anthony D'Amato, I hope to see him top 2012!
