Read More Twilight Sad As for Twilight Sad: "Scotland's rubbish!", singer James Graham said on stage. As I previously mentioned, they were more than happy to be playing to an audience in America....

THE TWILIGHT SAD
@SPANISH MOON (BATON ROUGE)
@EMPTY BOTTLE (CHICAGO)
James Graham screamed into the mic like he's William Wallace in the movie "Braveheart": "Freeeeeeeeeeeeedoooooooooooooooooom!!!!!!!"
Touring in support of their new record No One Can Ever Know, The Twilight Sad pieced together quite the set. They ended with their hits "Colder Days from the Birdhouse" and "And She Would Darken the Memory" from their massive debut record Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters. Pacing the drums was Mark Devine and the shredding the guitar was Andy MacFarlane. "And She Would Darken the Memory" brought an instant sensation to my brain and ears taking me to a special place.
There's something about the deep Scottish accent, drowning guitars, thundering drums that is the reason why I tell everyone music is my drug. Bands like the Twilight Sad and Interpol create that oozing sensation in my head.
Two shows in the same week by one of my favorite live bands can't complain about that. The Twilight Sad were nice enough to make a pit stop in Baton Rouge before heading to Houston/Austin/Dallas. Comparing the two shows, in Baton Rouge there was barely 20 people and Chicago a solid 150.
Fourteen Autumns and Fifteen Winters released back in 2007 will always be my top 10 album. These record rivals anything put out by U2, Oasis, Blur, Snow Patrol, Mumford and Sons, or any of the major bands that stole the spotlight from the Scottish quartet. The Twilight Sad got some attention from John Norris back on MTV news back in 07 on the debut album. But the Scots still haven't blown up in the states like they have in Europe. It's not easy to crack the states with all the garbage hip hop and radio music on air. Alright I'm done ranting....
The Twilight sad is a remarkable band that deserves more respect. Enough Said.
The Twilight Sad just released a remix album of their 2012 release No One Can Ever Know, which came out November 20th via FatCat Records.
