Patrick Watson just released his album Adventures in Your Own Backyard (May 1st via Domino Records), which NPR previewed. Unfortunately, the audio is no longer accessible on the website, the next best thing you can do is see their music video for "Into Giants" via youtube. THE ADVENTURES OF… theadventuresof.com Earlier this month, Tori Amos announced she launched a record label called Transmission Galactic. The first band under her umbrella will be The Adventures Of… Their debut record will be called Top Hats and Scary Tales. Who is this band you're wondering? They're based in the UK and wrote a letter to Amos with their demo CD. The demo was inside a hand-made book-like container made up of repurposed leather, wood, and brass. Stay tuned for more tales from The Adventures Of…, I read that they will be doing a promo tour of the USA soon.

DR MICHAEL WHITE basinstreetrecords.com We previously written about clarinetist Dr Michael White a few times, I just wanted to quickly mention that his new album, Adventures In New Orleans Jazz Part 2 will be out June 19th via Basin Street Records. The pending release will be his sixth album on Basin Street Records. The second Adventures cover more US artists rather than its international standards in Part 1. Catch Dr. Michael White at the Acadania Center For The Arts at Nola on May 18th.
