Just a little nudge to encourage you to try and get along and catch one of the shows that Ball Park Music are putting on as part of their 180° tour. We managed to check out the show at the Factory Theatre in Marrickville the other week and we were pleasantly surprised at the calibre of music that these guys could all make.
Specifically focusing on Cub Scouts (five piece from Brisbane), we were blown away by the obvious musical talent of these guys (and lady). Amazing voices and keyboard skills of the two "frontmen"... not so mention the sweet shark and bat t-shirts they were wearing. *ahem*. The songs were sugary sweet; so very synth-heavy; as hardcore as indie pop can be and that's exactly what the crowd was expecting. And not surprisngly, even though Cub Scouts played first on the bill, at the very tame hour of 8:30pm, the venue was already packed.... and that particular all-ages crowd were "going off", as the kids would say.
Nantes and Ball Park Music... well that's another story for another day.
