Truth be told, I am a massive Sinead O'Connor fan, even though sometime her controversial life and beliefs made it hard to be a fan. I don't let that stuff bother me (and I'm assuming it doesn't bother O'Connor much either).
The latest scandal/news that caught my eye was that her fourth marriage ended in just sixteen days, nearly two months earlier than that Kardashian gal.
O'Connor wrote in her blog:
I have not heard her forthcoming album, How About I Be Me (and You Be You), to be released on One Little Indian (MRI in the USA) on February 21st, 2012, but based on some of the track listing ("4th And Vine" and "The Wolf Is Getting Married" in particular) the songs may be chronicles of her life.
Listening to two preview songs on soundcloud, "4th And Vine" is about marriage and how she would wear up "her hair up tight" and put on her "pink dress". Sure, she doesn't have hair to speak of, but it just illustrate how she's in this much happier place.
The other preview song, "Take Off Your Shoes", takes a religious tone, which is pretty typical if you're familiar with O'Connor's body of work. I didn't like this song as much, but I find that her songs will probably grow on me over time.
Of course, I'll pick up How About I Be Me (and You Be You), come February 2012, just out of devotion and habit. I did noticed that she is going on tour, but the dates are small at the moment and nowhere near where I live... but I'm definitely going to try and attend her show if she comes around here.

In fact, the whole day was all O'Connor, all the time, as I played Guild Wars, Pikotama, and Zuma.

From the moment myself and my husband got together not long ago, there was intense pressure placed upon him by certain people in his life, not to be involved with me. These were people who had never met me but had formed opinions of me based on what they read about 'Sinead 'O'Connor' in the media etc. Entitled as they are to their opinions about me many perhaps well deserved, there was no righteousness on anyone's part to put my husband through what he was put through as a result of his desire to be with me and to marry me and as a result of his actually marrying me.
Within 3 hours of the ceremony being over the marriage was kyboshed by the behaviour of certain people in my husband's life. And also by a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink. My husband was enormously wounded and very badly effected by that experience and also by the attitude of those close to him toward our marriage. It became apparent to me that if he were to stay with me he would be losing too much to bear. And that being with me was not going to serve him positively , career wise or any other wise. I saw his life leave him because of how people close to him reacted. And I can't take anyone's life. And a woman wants to be a joy to her husband. So.. U love someone? Set them free.
