Just in time for Halloween, Holy Ghost! kick off their first national headline tour to a solid sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom in New York.
Full North American tour details below - I think they're playing with Jessica 6 (I wonder if they're named after the thriller movie Jennifer 8?):

We've mentioned Matt Pond PA before. Sally described them as "soothing bunch of tunes... however this one gets me more in the mood for Friday night festivities".
Matt Pond sent us a treat with his song "Halloween" from his album 2005 album Several Arrows Later. Unfortunately, as of this writing, he's finishing up his Fall tour dates, leaving us with just these two dates:

"NOT EXACTLY A HALLOWEEN SHOW — BUT JUST AS SCARY!!"
This has nothing to do with Halloween, but the email made me laugh, so I thought I'd mention their live standup comedy act, taking place at The Parkway Theater in Minneapolis on Saturday, October 29th.
Tickets are $12 and can be purchased in advance at Brown Paper Tickets.
