Here are a few bands that's coming through Minneapolis. Unfortunately, I can only attend shows on Saturday. The hours I'm working doesn't exactly work out, but hopefully that will all change when the snow hit the ground (in which I'll just hibernate).
Stepping in my place is Oscar and Lara, so good luck to you two!
THE RAPTURE

New York's dance-punk band, The Rapture, is back with their third album, In the Grace of Your Love, released September 2nd, via Death From Abroad Records (DFA).
Their tour starts next week in Massachusetts, and ending in Philadelphia. Oscar will be covering their show in Minneapolis, full tour details below.
TORO Y MOI

It's hard to believe that Chazwick Bundick, aka Toro Y Moi (Toro and I), only has two albums under his belt. It seems last year, the dude was blowing up all over the world, including amazing festival slots through Australia, etc.
He isn't slowing down either, in fact, he is releasing a new EP called Freaking Out tomorrow, Tuesday, September 13th, via Carpark Records.
If you want to preview the EP, you can hear the lead song, "All Alone" at SPIN.com.
APRIL SMITH
aprilsmithmusic.com
April is coming to Minneapolis in October... that's April Smith.
What's more interesting is that Henry Wolfe will also be playing. I haven't heard of either bands, but I was told that Mister Wolfe has a famous mother, and after Lara checked into this, she's agreed to review the show for us. Wolfe's mother, you are wondering? Meryl Streep. Boom, now ya heard.
Tour dates below:
IDIOT GLEE

I get the impression that Idiot Glee isn't a fan of the television show Glee. I'm trying to get Andrew to cover this band, he lives like two streets from the Cause... but it probably won't work out.
Anyway, Idiot Glee, a band that NME calls "One of the best voices around in 2010", is starting their tour next week for his new album, Paddywhack.
Paddywhack... Is it just me, or do you start saying "give a dog a bone, this old man came rolling home" immediately?
