I've been seeing a trend in the word 'color' spelled as the British English version. Maybe it's to 'honour' the wedding of William & Kate. Maybe not.
COLOURMUSIC

July is a long way from now, but I've accepted to have Colourmusic on my calendar to see them when they arrive here July 26th at the 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis. They are touring with Royal Bangs (a band that failed me, but I will see them for NXNE 2011 in June) and Morning Teleportation.
I don't know much about them, other than that they are from Stillwater, Oklahoma, and described themselves as "sex rock". It should be interesting to see what they're all about in person.
Their new album, My ____ Is Pink is out in a few days, May 10th on Memphis Industries Records.
CITY AND COLOUR
www.cityandcolour.ca
This artists is better known in his home country, Canada, because of his certified platinum album, Bring Me Your Love, but here in the States, I don't know if he has the same reach (although I've read that most of his shows sells out here). His name is Dallas Green, aka City and Colour, and his much-anticipated third album, coming out June 7th, is called Little Hell via Vagrant Records/Dine Alone Records. Pre-orders for the album will be starting on May 10th.
What's cool about the pre-order is that it will come with a limited edition 7", featuring the first single "Fragile Bird" and a demo version on the b-side. Strictly limited to 1,000 copies. For US fans only. Available as only as an Amazon pre-sale.
Not to be left behind is iTunes is offering a deluxe version of the album. An exclusive track, "Make Believe" is only available to those who pre-order it via iTunes. The deluxe version also comes with three exclusive songs: "Weightless" (demo), "O'Sister" (live), and a vocal and percussion mix of "At The Birds Foot".
DARK COLOUR

Randall Rigdon is the force behind the electronic pop band, Dark Colour. Their album, Memories is out and features ten dance "party" songs, reminiscent of 70s disco, as written on their profile.
The band's been compared to other established acts like Passion Pit, Empire of the Sun, and even David Bowie (who doesn't seem to fit in with these other newer acts).
I have not listened to the album, but judging from their video for "Don't Let It Stop" (watch it on youtube), I can tell you it looks psychedelic.
