I have a friend called Madison, I don't think she was born in Wisconsin, but I did think of Maddy when I saw this musician called Madison. She has an EP named The Noise Some People Make out today (Tuesday, January 11th, on G Records).
It's only a short four-track EP, so I decided to give it a spin ... and I love it.
The first thing you should know that, after listening to "#1" and "Lights Low", she sounds like Norwegian's Annie (another artist that also really love).
I liked her enough to look for her other releases, although I was under the impression that this was her first EP because the information I got said that this was the first of a series of pop/art releases. It looks like Madison's been releasing music since 2004 with The Rest of Our Lives Is Tonight (under Race the Sun), and, more recently an all-remix album in 2010, Follow Me.
Basically, if you like pop dance diva music, you'll absolutely fall in love with Madison. I can see why she's getting heavy rotations on iTunes' Indie Spotlight and Dance categories.
