Just so you know, things are really busy here with post-xmas and New Year coming up.
I am trying to edit a three-hour podcast for episode #100 with Cristina, so that is taking ages to get through (you don't realize it, but it takes me nearly three times the length of the show). Plus, be thankful I'm throwing out all the crap. If you like randomness and movies and music and television show, be sure to catch #100.
Also, I don't know what's wrong with us, but every time we talk on the podcast, we always bring up Manic Street Preachers. I think I should just make it official and put them in the podcast penalty box, where we will never discuss Richey or the Manics! Before we do though, here's a gem I'm putting in the show: their cover of "Suicide is Painless".
The interesting thing about MSP's version is that it was the most successful single at that time in 1992, reaching #7 in the UK charts - partly due to it being a double A-Side single to help the Spastics Society. The song was originally released under the epic three-disc Ruby Trax (NME's Roaring Forty), with over forty cover tracks.
I swear, one of these days, this kind of useless trivia will be useful.
