THE CHAPIN SISTERS

The last time I heard from The Chapin Sisters, they were doing that sweet, sweet singing harmony-thing... but their subject matters were often morbid and depressing. It looks like they are back at it again with a forthcoming album called Two.
The title, Two, is important because one of the sister, Jessica Craven, has left the band and it's just Abigail & Lily Chapin now. But don't be sad, as it looks like they're doing quite well, as they're now part of She & Him's backing band. They'll be on television on David Letterman (3/29) and Jimmy Kimmel (4/5), so that's not bad for these two sisters.
If you want to know more about them, read my review of Lake Bottom, be sure to check them out on tour with She & Him. I would love to attend the Minneapolis show, but I'm sure it's sold-out by now.
STEREO TOTAL

Germany disco-duo are back with Baby Ouh, to be released in May on Kill Rock Stars Records. As I have briefly mentioned how much I love the new album on #71 Podcast, I can tell you that this album is a real international album with songs sung in English, French, Geman, Spanish, and Japanese. I love it, lots of Françoise Cactus vocals and one cheesy Brezel Göring song, about raising his baby called Lucifer and living off prostitutes. Lovely.
Since their album isn't out until later, I thought I'd just briefly mention their international tour dates here and will have a review in April. I can tell you already it's a really good, fun album. If you've ever liked Stereo Total, this feels like classic Stereo Total - no crazy discotheque remixes.
PHILADELPHIA GRAND JURY

Speaking of duos, Philadelphia Grand Jury have announced a headline tour with their new single, "I Don't Want To Party (Party)" from last year's J Award nominated debut album Hope is For Hopers. It also said in my email that this Australian band will be relocating to the UK.
We have recorded a podcast talking about PGJ, but I'm in the middle of editing it. In the meantime, I've included their tour information below. Hopefully, if everything works out, Sally will be covering their Sydney show on April 15th, on her "favorite" Oxford area.
