RED i CLAN officially released Killohead yesterday (April 29th). It would seem that the main person behind this band is Sor, a classically trained guitarist from Romania.
Years of studying music and eventual playing in various rock bands, he's currently created RED i CLAN, a hard rock/metal band.
It's nothing you haven't heard before, but it's interesting to see how music is interpretted by someone from a classic background, doing this genre of music, but adding to this sound with a dash of electronica.
I previously mentioned Killohead being traded online, and when the band found out about it, they were okay with it because they felt that they rather have their music in the hands of those who wanted it (but could not afford it because of some of the foreign country's "harsh social conditions").
Since they are offering "Jack The Sound" as a free download, I'll talk about this song. The lyrics doesn't say much besides from breaking or bringing in the bass to "jack the sound" - but that's not really the point, because this is all about music and the way it will make you move.
Although there is very little or an absent of bass on "Jack the Sound", it did make up on "Brown Milk". This song might allure to perhaps a drug and features a pretty catchy line of I'm down, I'm down again... "Killohead" shows off Sor's classical background with its use of violas, but I felt was too quickly replaced by electronica and programmed drums.
From a storytelling view, I thought "Siren Song" is the best song on here. It is about a protagonist who must follow this song in his head.
You can Killohead from Amazon or iTunes. I couldn't find any information on how to get a physical copy.
