She Wants Revenge just released their second album, This Is Forever, last Tuesday (October 9th). They were just in Minneapolis last night, on their long tour.
If you like 80s bands such as New Order and the Cure, this is a great band for you. Plus the singer, Justin Warfield, sounds incredibly like The Psychedelic Furs singer, Richard Butler.
Not really much to talk about, really. They're from the San Fernando Valley in California and caught the attention of many people when they learned that famous actor, Juaquin Phoenix directed their debut music video for "Tear You Apart".
I have to admit, the video was nicely done. It feels like a low-budget 70s film.
That's probably my favorite She Wants Revenge video.
P.S. I had originally included an MTV Video, but it would not allow playback on other websites (even though they offered an "embed feature"). So instead, I'm going to promote Stage6 again. I thought the internet would change MTV for the better... but they still suck.

She Wants is the hottest thing out there at the moment. Songs are hot, great to dance to, and when you throw lyrics such as "you taste like tear stains and could've beens/but I love a good trainwreck" and "it's cold out/but her popsicle melts/she's in the bathroom/she pleasures herself" and "when you look back now was it special/or was it just an anecdote that you can tell now and then" into the beats and the voice (you're right, he does sound a lot like Justin Warfield, though there's a lot of David Gahan (and some Bowie on the new album) in there too.
My favorite songs off the debut: Monologue, Broken Promises for Broken Hearts, and Out of Control. The current album is to new for me to have a favorite, but the ones that are sticking with me: Written in Blood, Pretend that the World Has Ended, and True Romance.
Can't wait for the Orlando show.
